Advanced Power Monitor

APM Pic 1

The APM provides comprehensive RF performance measurement, monitoring and alarming of Tx forward and reflected powers, combiner losses, and Rx RSSI levels on a truly channelized basis - for up to 80 channels. It also provides unique measurement, monitoring and alarming of the Rx subsystem (Rx Antenna/TTA/RMC), Tx-to-Rx Antenna Isolation(s), and Tx-to-Rx Carrier Rejection performance. The Antenna Line Coupler(s) is inserted after the Tx combiner on the antenna feeder cable. All frequencies, channel bandwidths and level thresholds are software definable. A DB15 rear mounted connector provides alarm relay outputs that can be hardwired into most alarm reporting facilities. Configuration, diagnostics and communication management are facilitated through the use of an on-board webserver GUI. The APM is available in four different bands covering VHF, UHF, 7/800MHz and 8/900MHz frequency ranges.

MiniSystem Combiner

MSC Front

The MiniSystem Combiner (MSC) comprises a transmitter combiner using dual-stage isolators and innovative hybrid combining techniques to provide excellent Tx-Tx isolation and to minimize intermodulation (IM). An integral receive multicoupler uses a low-noise preamplifier featuring user selectable gain and excellent 3OIP performance to ensure optimum system receive sensitivity is available. High quality band pass filtering provides Rx preselectivity and Tx-Rx system isolation performance. Form-C relay alarm outputs provide alarm notification of DC power or Rx LNA amplifier failure. The MSC is designed to cater for a wide range of in-building and network site applications

Site Equipment Monitoring

SAM Front Rear

When fitted with an (optional) Site Alarm Module (SAM), the APM can also provide monitoring of temperature, analog voltages and test points, and general purpose digital logic and alarm lines. The alarm status from each SAM input is represented in the APM webserver GUI, and alarm events trigger SNMP traps, SMTP (Email) messages and Manager Messages for alarm reporting. A selection of temperature, analog voltages and digital logic levels can be monitored by one SAM, with ten (10) alarm relay outputs that can be mapped to alarm states for APM monitored channels, SAM Inputs, or RSM Inputs. Up to ten (10) SAM’s can be connected to one APM for additional monitoring capacity if required.

Tower Top Amplifier Systems

TTA

The TA Series is a full-featured, high performance TTA system utilizing exceptional preselector selectivity and redundant quadrature-coupled ultra low noise amplifiers (LNAs) to improve the base station receiver sensitivity performance of a network site. TTA system configurations are available for use with networks using base stations fitted with single receivers, dual receivers, or receiver diversity systems. The TTA system is compatible with analog and digital networks and comprises two components; the Tower Top Amplifier (TTA), and a Receiver Multicoupler/TTA Controller unit (RMC), and provides the following features;

• Exceptional frequency selectivity
• Redundant TTA quadrature Low Noise Amplifiers
• Extensive circuit monitoring and alarm management
• Test ports and test functionality supports testing and commissioning
• Convenient front panel controls
• User-friendly webserver Graphical User Interface (GUI)
• Auto Gain, Auto Mode, Gain Boost, Auto Bypass and Auto Recover functions
• SNMP, SMTP (Email) and Form-C relay contacts for fault reporting
• 12VDC, 24VDC, 48VDC or 90-264VAC versions available
